Our Elders
At Jubilee City Church, elders serve as under-shepherds of Christ, called to shepherd, oversee, and teach God's people with humility and servant leadership. Following the New Testament pattern of plural eldership, our elders work together as a team to provide spiritual care, maintain doctrinal integrity, and guide our congregation in faithfulness to Scripture. They shepherd the flock through ongoing spiritual guidance and prayer, provide oversight by guarding sound doctrine and making wise decisions, teach the Word of God accurately, and intercede regularly for our church family. Our elders model Christlike character and meet the biblical qualifications outlined in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. This plurality of leadership ensures accountability, shared wisdom, and comprehensive care while preventing the burden from resting on a single individual. Eldership at Jubilee City Church is a calling of service that requires deep commitment to Christ and His people, sustained through spiritual disciplines, mutual submission, and hearts aligned with God's purposes for our church and community.
Our Overseers
As Jubilee City Church continues to grow and develop, we currently have overseers serving in a temporary elder capacity. These overseers are here specifically for accountability and spiritual oversight, but are not involved in day-to-day operations or preaching and teaching. This structure allows us to maintain biblical governance and accountability while we prayerfully identify, train, and equip men from within our congregation who meet the character qualifications and calling for long-term elder service. We are committed to developing a full plurality of elders who will shepherd our church according to the New Testament pattern.
